The 8-seed Ole Miss Rebels advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2022 SEC Softball Tournament with the 9-5 win over the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs struck first in the top of third when Sara Mosley homered to left field. Followed by a single from Sydney Kuma to bring home Jayda Kearney.

Ole Miss immediately bounced back with Abbey Latham hitting a two-run home run to even the score at 2-2. The Rebels added four more runs to close the inning.

The bats stayed hot for the Rebels in the bottom of the fourth as Aynslie Furbush went the distance with a three-run homerun to extend the lead to seven.

Georgia got on the board again with strategic hitting to bring across the three runs in the top of the fifth.

Ole Miss will face 1-seed Arkansas at 7:30pm ET on Thursday.
