Missouri's first road test ends in a draw at Omaha
OMAHA, Neb. - University of Missouri soccer battled the University of Nebraska-Omaha to a 1-1 draw on Sunday in its first road contest of the 2022 season.
Mizzou started strong and pressured early, earning eight corner kicks in the first half. Sophomore Milena Fischer struck first in the 17th minute, earning her first goal of the season, from freshman Hannah Boughton.
Junior Jenna Bartels came close to netting a second goal for the Tigers but hit the goal post in the 80th minute, her second shot of the contest. Omaha kept the pressure on Missouri in the second half, scoring in the 86th minute off a corner to tie the game.
Tigers held the advantage in shots (13-5) and shots on goal (4-2), as well as corners (13-3).
Missouri now owns a 2-1-1 record on the season.
