Five former SEC players on MLB World Series rosters

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Oct. 28, 2022)----- Five former SEC baseball players are included on World Series active rosters of the Philadelphia Phillies and Houston Astros, it was announced Friday.
Former SEC players on the Phillies roster' include Aaron Nola (LSU), Kyle Gibson (Missouri) and David Robertson (Alabama). The Astros' roster includes Alex Bregman (LSU) and Ryne Stanek (Arkansas).
A total of 30 players formerly from SEC schools were on active rosters of teams in the first two rounds of the playoffs.
The 2022 World Series is scheduled to begin with Game 1 Friday at 7 p.m. CT.
