World Championships NCAA Competitors

Four Gators are among the 12 gymnasts on 2023 NCAA rosters who represented the U.S. in the World Championships competition. Utah and Auburn are next with two each.

Three who competed in 2022 NCAA Championships - Jade Carey (Oregon State), Jordan Chiles (UCLA) and Leanne Wong (Florida) - are on the U.S. 2022 Worlds gold-medal team. That is an all-time high as the other six U.S. gymnasts who competed NCAA and Worlds in same calendar year were the lone team members with that double.

Of the Gators currently enrolled at UF, Wong is among four to compete at a World Championships. Morgan Hurd (2017 & 2018), Riley McCusker (2018) and Kayla DiCello (2021) also represented the U.S. in World Championships action. McCusker and Hurd won team gold in 2018. Hurd won the 2017 World Championships' all-around title and DiCello took all-around bronze in 2021.
