MEN
GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Gordon Sargent, Vanderbilt
- Sargent won the two-day, 54-hole John Hayt Invitational in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, with a three-round total of 201 to finish 15-under-par.
- Sargent made 19 birdies in the tournament and tied a Sawgrass Country Club course record with a 64 during the second round.
Fred Biondi, Florida
- Won his third collegiate title at the Sea Best Invitational.
- Shot a 204 (-6), highlighted by a tournament low round of 64 (-6) in round three.
- Recorded a birdie on 18 to force a playoff for medalist honors.
- Posted 12 birdies with two rounds in the 60s.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Jaime Montojo, Texas A&M
- Tied for 8th at the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate with an 8-under, 208 as the Maroon & White claimed their third title of the season.
- The Madrid, Spain-native led the Aggies in the opening round, tied for third with a 4-under, 68. Fired 71s in the next two rounds as Texas A&M snapped Arizona's streak of winning its home tournament five consecutive years.
Miguel Leal, Florida
- Finished T5 in his collegiate debut at the Sea Best Invitational.
- Posted a score of 207 (-3).
- Recorded a 66 (-4) in his first collegiate round.
- Shot two rounds in the 60s (66-69).
WOMEN
GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Julia Lopez Ramirez, Mississippi State
- Lopez Ramirez carded a 5-under (67) final round to finish second with 19-under par (197) in the UCF Challenge.
- 19-under par marks the lowest individual score in program history, breaking her own record of 16-under par (200) in the 2022 Paradise Invitational.
- Julia Lopez Ramirez captured her third consecutive, and twenty-first total round, in the 60s in the Maroon and White to lead State through Tuesday's final round.
- Shot 8-Under Par (64) in the second round. 64 is the lowest individual second round in program history and tied for the second-lowest individual round overall.
- Shot 6-Under (66) in the opening round. 66 is tied for the third-lowest first-round in program history and the eighth-lowest round overall.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Tillie Claggett, Vanderbilt
- Claggett tied for third at the FAU Paradise Invitational with a 7-under-par 209.
- She carded 17 birdies over the two-day, three-round event.
Izzy Pellot, Mississippi State
- Finished tied for ninth in the UCF Challenge (Best Finish of her Bulldog Career).
- Carded 9-Under for the Event.
- Recorded Back-to-Back Rounds in the 60s in Rounds 1 and 2.
- Pellot sunk five birdies throughout the second round, including three on the back nine to card 4-under (68). 68 is tied for the tenth-lowest second-round score in program history.
- Pellot sunk five birdies throughout the first round, including three on the back nine to finish with 3-under par (69).
