MS State shows off on mound, at plate to beat Samford

STARKVILLE - The Mississippi State Diamond Dawgs earned its fifteenth win of the season on Tuesday night when they defeated the visiting Samford Bulldogs at Dudy Noble Field.

MSU collected 10 hits en route to a 9-4 victory.

Dakota Jordan and Hunter Hines both had three-hit days for the Diamond Dawgs. Hines went 3-for-5 with a double, driving in an RBI. Jordan had two doubles on his 3-for-4 day, totaling two RBIs. This was Jordan's first multi-hit game as a Bulldog.

Evan Siary drew the start on the mound for State, striking out two batters in two innings of work. The combination of Graham Yntema, Brock Tapper, Aaron Nixon and KC Hunt tallied seven innings out of the pen. The four arms struck out seven batters, allowing only two unearned runs and two walks.

Hunter Hines singled to left to score Larry from second. Luke Hancock singled off the pitcher to score Ledbetter from third. Ross Highfill scored on a passed ball. Mississippi State 9, Samford 4
