Ashley Rogers fired a three-hitter to lead 1-seed Tennessee to a 4-0 victory over 8-seed Florida in a quarterfinal delayed one day by weather at the SEC Softball Tournament.

With the win, the Lady Vols advanced to a semifinal matchup with Alabama later in the evening on Friday at Bogle Park, home of the Arkansas Razorbacks in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Tennessee certainly made themselves at home there in the game that originally was scheduled for Thursday night, but got pushed back to Friday morning because of weather delays.

Rogers was masterful, facing just 29 batters as she walked four and struck out eight. She lowered her ERA on the season to 0.86 with the shutout.

She got all the run support she would need in the very first inning when Zaidi Puni singled and eventually came around to score on a RBI single through the left side of the infield by Lair Beautae, giving the Lady Vols an early 1-0 advantage.

Kiki Milloy added a two-run home run in the second, and Milloy scored Tennessee's final run in the fourth after getting hit by a pitch and coming around on Puni's RBI double.

Meanwhile, Rogers sailed through the Florida lineup inning after inning.

Puni ended up with as many hits herself as the entire Gators team, going 3-for-3 with one run scored and one RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED

B1| With one out, Puni singled to the pitcher. McKenna Gibson walked, with Puni advancing to second. Rylie West reached on a fielder's choice, with Gibson out at second and Puni advancing to third. Beautae singled through the left side, scoring Puni. Tennessee 1, Florida 0.

B2| With two out, Katie Taylor reached on a fielding error by Florida's third baseman. Milloy homered to left field. Tennessee 3, Florida 0.

B4| With two out, Milloy was hit by a pitch. Puni followed with an RBI double to left field, scoring Milloy. Tennessee 4, Florida 0.
