BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Alabama and Missouri each placed a league-leading seven representatives on the 2014 All-Southeastern Conference Coaches' Football Team, it was announced on Tuesday. The Crimson Tide, who won the 2014 SEC Championship, had a conference-best five first-team selections.
Twelve of the 14 SEC schools had a member on the first-team All-SEC squad, while eight institutions boasted four or more total All-SEC selections.
Auburn center Reese Dismukes earned first-team All-SEC honors for the second consecutive season. Florida's Vernon Hargreaves and Ole Miss' Cody Prewitt - both defensive backs - also garnered first-team All-SEC recognition for the second year in a row.
Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.
The SEC individual award winners will be released on Wednesday and the SEC All-Freshman Team will be announced on Thursday.
