Fan friendly enhancements made to Hoover Met

SEC baseball fans will notice new amenities at the Hoover Met, which will play host to the SEC Baseball Tournament for the 22nd consecutive year next week.

One of the more noticeable features is a new state-of-the-art video board located in right field. The screen size of the new video board is nearly double the size of the previous video board and will display updated statistics and other information throughout the games.

Fans will see a fully functioning Hoover Met Complex for the first time. A number of baseball and softball fields surround the Hoover Met, and this year a 10u, 11u and 12u youth baseball tournament featuring teams from around the southeast will be held on those fields. Games will take place during the weekend of the SEC Tournament.

SEC FanFest returns for a third consecutive year in the Finley Center adjacent to the Hoover Met. Activities at SEC FanFest include inflatable games for kids, video simulators, zip line, miniature golf course and a sports bar section with live entertainments.

SEC FanFest is free to the public, and fans with tickets to the tournament can come and go to the games as they please.

Tickets to the SEC Tournament are on sale at First round action is slated to begin Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. CT.
