2019 SEC Men's Golf Awards announced

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama --The Southeastern Conference on Thursday announced its annual Men's Golf Awards, which were voted on by the league's 14 head coaches.

The 2019 All-SEC teams and a complete list of awards are listed below.

NCAA Men's Golf Championship will be held May 24-29 at the Blessings Golf Course in Fayetteville, Ark.

  • A three-time honoree on the SEC Community Service team, earning the honor in each of the last three seasons (2017-19) ... leads all UA men's golfers in community service hours. Member of the executive board of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee ... SAAC committee leader for Campus Collaboration. Coordinates Special Olympic events on campus ... has volunteered numerous hours to visit with and read to elementary and middle school children in the Tuscaloosa community.

Landon Ernst, Arkansas

  • Member of Arkansas' Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Member.
  • Has participated in Shop with the Razorbacks, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Tri Delta Charity Golf Scramble and Fearless Food Fight-Pack Shack.

Graysen Huff, Auburn

  • Huff has been involved in a variety of community service projects over the past year.
  • He was a key figure in the Jason Dufner Foundation's fight to end child hunger in Lee County by packing non-perishable food items once per week throughout the academic year.
  • Huff also delivered the meals to local schools.
  • He has also taken part in neighborhood cleanup days in which he did yard work and picked up areas around the Auburn community.
  • Huff was involved with Operation Christmas Child in which he collected gifts and packed shoeboxes for children around the world.

Manny Girona, Florida

  • SEC First Year Honor Roll
  • 2017-18 Climb for Cancer SAAC

Davis Thompson, Georgia

  • Inducted into UGA's Student-Athlete Leadership Academy,
  • Named the recipient of the Jack and Mary Dinos Men's Golf Scholarship.
  • Named to the First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll
  • Named to the J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics Academic Honor Roll.
  • Twice won the team's Howell Hollis Award as the Bulldog with the best grade point average.
  • Serves on UGA's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Jacob Cook, Kentucky

  • Participated in various activities in his career including Breakfast with Santa, bowling with Special Olympics, cooked and served dinner at the Ronald McDonald House, packed and delivered food as a part of God's Panty Backpack Program.
  • Also volunteered at the Schenkel Golf Tournament's golf clinic, played mini-golf and visited with patients at the UK Children's Hospital.

Nathan Jeansonne, LSU

  • Helped out with Halloween event with LSU fans and kids.
  • Volunteered with 'Thanksgiving with the Tigers'.

Beau Briggs, Ole Miss

  • Works with Oxford Boys and Girls Club to help children focus on academic success, good character and healthy lifestyles ... Participates in Reading with the Rebels, stopping by local elementary schools to read books to the kids. Helps coordinate Rebelthon, the annual dance marathon that raises money for Batson Children's Hospital, as well as Hope to Dream ... Has participated in Adopt-a-Basket, which gives food items to families in need during the Thanksgiving season. Helped with the Books and Bears program, distributing toys to local children during the holiday season ... Served his fellow Rebels as a member of the Ole Miss Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was instrumental in the annual Rebels' Choice Awards.

Griffin Agent, Mississippi State

  • Has volunteered at Clay County Animal Shelter and FCA Banquet of Champions Served as Athlete Engagement Chair on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and Social Media Chair for the FCA Leadership Team

Tommy Boone, Missouri

  • Missouri Special Olympics volunteer, worked with an athlete for a day.
  • Officer of Mizzou's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), represents men's golf on the committee.
  • Visited the Central Missouri Food Bank and helped package meals for local families.

Jack Parrott, South Carolina

  • Leads team in community service hours for the 2018-19 academic year.
  • Took part in a Build-a-Bike event during the Gamecock Week of Giving during the fall.
  • This spring, he participated in the first annual Gamecock Games and Curing Kids Cancer Fire Truck Pull.
  • He most recently made a big impact on children at Meadowfield Elementary, where Gamecock student-athletes attended student-led conferences for children that did not have families who could attend to hear about their school work and accomplishments.
  • He also was recently elected as a SAAC officer for the upcoming year.

Brayden Garrison, Tennessee

  • Took part in the Voleaders trip to Ecuador, volunteering and connecting with the community through various sports activities Volunteers at the Adapted Sports Fest, helping run activities throughout the day Visited Sevier County School in November Participated in the Race Against Racism

Brandon Smith, Texas A&M

  • SAAC Representative for Men's Golf Aggies Read (Reading to Elementary School Kids) Big Event (Largest Student Community Service Project) Aggies Can (Canned Food Drive for the Homeless) Special Olympics

  • Hosted SAAC Holiday Party Gift Shopping and Party benefitting Buena Vista Elementary
