SEC Offensive Player of the Week - Florida forward Vanessa Kara, a senior from Burlington, N.J., scored a goal in each half of the Gators' 3-1 win over No. 12 Texas A&M. It is her third double goal game in the last six matches. She leads UF in goals (8), points (16) and game-winning goals (3).
SEC Defensive Player of the Week - Auburn goalkeeper Kate Hart, a graduate student from Huntington Beach, Calif, led Auburn to its sixth shutout of the season, including its third in the last four contests, in a 2-0 win vs. LSU. She faced five shots in the second half and commanded the box as LSU had seven corner kick opportunities. Hart made a pair of saves in one-on-one situations to preserve a 1-0 lead in the second half.
SEC Freshman of the Week - Tennessee midfielder Isabella Cook, a freshman from Elmhurst, Ill., tallied her second-career game-winner against Kentucky, striking past the keeper on the end of a cross in the 20th minute of action. She also dished out an assist on a through ball to MA Vignola to help put the Vols ahead 2-0, which would eventually hold for the final score. Playing a season-high 80 minutes, Cook was part of a strong team defensive showing as the Vols held the Wildcats without a shot on goal for the entire match.
