BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Southeastern Conference announced its 2019 cross country awards on Tuesday as voted on by the league's head coaches.
The men's recipients include Alabama's Vincent Kiprop (Runner of the Year), Ole Miss' Cole Bullock (Freshman of the Year) and Ole Miss' Ryan Vanhoy (Coach of the Year).
The women's recipients include Arkansas' Taylor Werner (Runner of the Year), Ole Miss' Skylar Boogerd (Freshman of the Year) and Arkansas' Lance Harter (Coach of the Year).
Kiprop won the SEC men's title with a time of 22:51.6, while Werner placed second in the women's race with a time of 19:42.8. Kiprop helped his team to a second place finish, and Werner, who won multiple races this season, helped her team to their seventh straight SEC title.
Bullock had the best time among freshman in the men's race, placing ninth in 23:20.1, while Boogerd led all female freshmen with a time of 20:49.4 to finish 19th.
Vanhoy led Ole Miss to its second consecutive SEC title, while Harter guided the Razorbacks to their 20th SEC crown.
It was previously announced that Kiprop and Taylor were voted the Men's Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Women's Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
