Player of the Week: Ole Miss' Jan Soren Hain provided the clinch for the Rebels to pull of their second ranked upset in their last three matches on Friday. After falling in his first set, the second-singles player found the momentum to force a third set, holding serve to earn his first ever collegiate ranked win, taking down Oklahoma State's Dominik Kellovsky, ranked No. 91. It was his first win over a Top 20 program, and the win for the Rebels pushed them higher in the rankings, coming in at No. 19 this week. He was also successful in doubles, providing the doubles clinch point with classmate Simon Junk.
Freshman of the Week: Georgia's Tyler Zink clinched both the doubles point and the match for the Bulldogs against in-state rival Georgia Tech. After Georgia split courts 2 and 3 in doubles, Zink teamed with sophomore Trent Bryde to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead with a 6-2 victory at the No. 1 doubles court. The win helped the Bulldog duo improve to a perfect 4-0 at the top doubles position this season. Zink followed that win with a match-clinching 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 singles triumph against Pablo Schelcher. It improved Zink's singles record to an impressive 7-2 this spring. Zink helped Georgia win its ninth-straight against Tech and also gave Bulldog head coach Manuel Diaz his 703rd all-time career victory.
