SEC co-Players of the Week - Arkansas guard Mason Jones and Kentucky guard Immanuel Quickley were named co-Players of the Week. Jones, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound junior from DeSoto, Texas, averaged 31.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and one steal against Tennessee and Georgia. Jones recorded his seventh 30-point game this season which is the fourth-most in the NCAA this season. Quickley, a 6-foot-3, 188-pound sophomore from Havre de Grace, Md., averaged 24 points, 8.5 rebounds, two assists and one steal in wins over Texas A&M and Florida. Quickley converted nine of 17 3-pointers (52.9 percent) and all 11 of his free throws on the week.
SEC Freshman of the Week - Georgia guard Anthony Edwards, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound freshman from Atlanta, Ga., averaged 31 points, seven rebounds, three assists and 2.5 steals while shooting 52.8 percent from the field and 85.0 percent from the line against South Carolina and Arkansas. Posted game-high scoring outputs of 36 points at South Carolina and 26 against Arkansas.
