SEC Represented on MLB Postseason Rosters

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Oct. 8, 2021)-----A total of 26 players from SEC institutions were named to active rosters for the American League Division Series and National League Division Series.

Vanderbilt has five former players on 26-man rosters, while Mississippi State, Missouri and Texas A&M each have three. Thirteen SEC schools are represented on Division Series rosters.

The San Francisco Giants have five former SEC players on their postseason roster, followed by Houston and Tampa Bay with four. All eight MLB teams have at least two former SEC players on their active rosters.

The Major League Baseball Playoffs began with the Wild Card Games Tuesday and Wednesday. The ALDS began Thursday, and the NLDS will begin on Friday.
