Women's Basketball Players Of The Week
Player of the Week: South Carolina's Aliyah Boston led the Gamecocks to double-digit victories in all four games of the week, including two 15+ point wins over top-10 teams to win the inaugural Bad Boy Mowers Women's Battle 4 Atlantis. She was named Bad Boy Mowers Women's Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament MVP after a three-game event at which she averaged 20.3 points on 56.5 percent shooting and 10.0 rebounds. Capped the week with a 22-point, 15-rebound performance against #2/2 UConn, nearly posting her first double-double of the season by halftime (11 points, 9 rebounds). She scored four points and swiped a steal in the early 7-0 run that put #9/9 Oregon on its heels right out of the gate and finished with near double-double of 16 points and eight rebounds in just 23 minutes. Posted the team's first 20-point game of the season with a 23-point outing against Buffalo. Put together week's numbers in just 100 minutes on the court.
Freshman of the Week: Missouri's Izzy Higginbottom set a new career high in scoring in each game of the week, shooting 70% from three over two games. She led Mizzou in scoring in each game with 17 points against Saint Louis and 18 versus Idaho State. Her 11 three-pointers on the season are the most through four games by a Mizzou player since 2014-15 and most by a Mizzou freshman since 2011-12. She leads the SEC in three-point field goal percentage among qualifying players.
