SEC announces baseball television schedule

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Feb. 9, 2022) ---- A total of 89 Southeastern Conference baseball games are slated to be televised during the 2022 season by SEC Network, ESPN2 and ESPNU, it was announced Wednesday.

SEC Network will air 71 games, the first of which will be South Carolina's game against Texas on March 12. Ten games are slated for ESPN2 throughout the season and eight games will air on ESPNU.

Five games are scheduled to be televised on SEC Network during the opening weekend of SEC play March 17-20. In addition, four wildcard games during the final weekend of the regular season (May 19-21) will be selected to air on ESPN2 and SEC Network.

All 17 games of the SEC Tournament are slated to be televised May 24-29. The first 16 games will air on SEC Network, while the SEC Tournament Championship Game will air on ESPN2.

Opening day for the 2022 season is Friday, Feb. 18. Eight SEC teams have been ranked in the top-25 of the preseason college baseball polls.
