Week 6: Swimming & Diving Athletes of the Week

Men's Swimmer of the Week:

 Ian Grum, Georgia

Grum, a senior from Atlanta, Ga., earned three individual wins in the win over No. 3 Florida. In the 100 backstroke, Grum placed first with a B-cut of 47.16, followed by another winning B-cut of 1:42.38 in the 200 backstroke. He closed the meet with a first-place B-cut of 3:49.26 in the 400 IM, besting the field by nearly a second and a half.

Men's Diver of the Week:

 Skip Donald, Florida

Donald, a senior from The Woodlands, Texas, swept the springboard events in the dual meet at No. 7 Georgia. Donald posted top scores of 340.43 on the 1-meter and 362.85 on the 3-meter.

Men's Freshman of the Week:

 Aleksas Savickas, Florida

Savickas, a freshman from Panevezys, Lithuania, swept the breaststroke events and was a part of a winning relay at No. 7 Georgia. Savickas touched the wall first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 53.78 and in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 1:57.08. He also swam the second leg of the 400 medley relay that claimed the top spot with a time of 3:10.53 (53.79).

Women's Swimmer of the Week:

 Abby McCulloh, Georgia

McCulloh, a sophomore from Lilburn, Ga., took first in the 1000 free against No. 11 Florida with a time of 9:42.30, besting the field by nearly five seconds with the fastest time in the nation this season. Later in the meet, McCulloh finished third in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:49.64.

Women's Diver of the Week:

 Chiara Pellacani, LSU

Pellacani, a sophomore from Rome, Italy, placed first on the 3-meter springboard with a score of 348.38 in the dual meet against No. 21 Auburn. Pellacani was runner-up on the 1-meter with a score of 286.28.

Women's Freshman of the Week:

 Zoe Dixon, Florida

Dixon, a freshman from Henrico, Va., earned a first-place finish in the 200 back with a time of 1:56.00 in the win at No. 15 Georgia. Dixon was also runner-up in the 400 IM (4:15.73) and came in third in the 200 fly (1:59.95).
