Seven SEC teams earned bids to the 2023 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament and an additional four have accepted bids to the 2023 WNIT. This is the fourth time 11 league women's basketball teams have made the postseason.

The conference has had four or more teams in the WNIT seven times (2005, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2013, 2021 and 2023). Overall, league teams have accepted 70 bids from the WNIT.
In the NCAA Tournament, South Carolina is a No. 1 seed for the seventh time after earning the position in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
