145 SEC Track & Field Athletes Earn All-America Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (March 14, 2023)-----A total of 145 Southeastern Conference track and field student-athletes earned NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field All-America honors, according to an announcement by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Athletes of member institutions who finished in the top-8 of their respective individual events and relays at the 2023 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships took home First-Team All-America honors, while those who placed ninth through 16th individually and as part of a relay earned Second-Team All-America. The remaining athletes were honorable mention.

SEC student-athletes garnered a total of 189 All-America honors and 133 first team accolades.

The Arkansas men's and women's teams swept the NCAA titles last weekend in Albuquerque, N.M. It was the first sweep of the men's and women's championships since 2016. SEC teams placed Nos. 1-3 in the final men's standings. Arkansas was first with 63 points, followed by Georgia with 40 and Florida with 34. Alabama also placed in the top-10 with a ninth place finish. Florida was third in the women's standings with 45 points, and Georgia was fifth with 31. Alabama and Tennessee tied for seventh, while Ole Miss was 10th.
