Three SEC student-athletes in NCAA Above the Rim Summit

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (March 30, 2023)-----Three Southeastern Conference women's basketball student-athletes will participate in the inaugural NCAA Above the Rim Summit during Final Four Weekend beginning Friday in Dallas.

Representing the SEC at the three-day immersive leadership program will be Georgia's Diamond Battles, Missouri's Haley Troup and Tennessee's Jordan Walker. A total of 14 women's basketball student-athletes nationwide were selected to participate in the program.

The aim of the Above the Rim Summit is to provide education and career development support to women's basketball student-athletes. The participants will be introduced to numerous subject matter experts who will share their expertise on career navigation. They will also be immersed in personal and professional development activities designed to provide an introspective picture of who they are, And how they work best with others.

The group will engage in brand building, media training, and financial literacy, and they will also have an opportunity to gain more knowledge about the world of professional basketball from industry professionals and former players.
