DESTIN, Fla. (May 30, 2023)--The 2023 Southeastern Conference Spring Meetings, a gathering of the SEC's Presidents and Chancellors, Athletics Directors, Senior Woman Administrators, Faculty Athletic Representatives, Head Football Coaches and Head Men's and Women's Basketball Coaches, began Tuesday at the Hilton SanDestin Beach Resort.

"The opportunity to gather is important for us," SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said. "It's an opportunity for us to do some work and enjoy some collaboration and fellowship and to celebrate."

At the conclusion of Tuesday's meetings, Sankey addressed a variety of topics with the media:

*It was announced Tuesday that the South Carolina at Georgia and Georgia vs. Florida football games will air on CBS during the 2023 football season in what will be the final season of the SEC on CBS.

*Four student-athletes are in attendance at Spring Meetings this week: Texas A&M's Henry Coleman III (Men's Basketball), Kentucky's Eli Cox (Football), Missouri's Jude Dierker (Men's Swimming & Diving) and Tennessee's Tamari Key (Women's Basketball). These student-athletes will participate in meetings throughout the week to share their perspective and offer input on issues that impact their college experience.

*Representatives from the University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas are in attendance at SEC Spring Meetings. They will participate in conversations before before joining as full-members of the Southeastern Conference in July 2024.
