A message from SEC Commissioner Mike Slive

On October 14, I announced I would retire from my position as Commissioner of the Southeastern Conference effective July 31, 2015, and that I am undergoing treatment for a recurrence of prostate cancer for which I was originally treated in the late 1990s.
