Kentucky needed a touchdown just to stay alive in overtime at Williams-Brice Stadium, and Kenny Minchey delivered it, finding Hunter Boyer for a 6-yard score before hitting Will Rodriguez on the two-point try to walk off with a 35-34 win. The conversion snapped a South Carolina lead that had stood since LaNorris Sellers found Mazeo Bennett... Brown II for a go-ahead score moments earlier in the extra period. It capped a wild back-and-forth finish that saw the Wildcats erase an early 14-point deficit built on touchdown runs by M. Fuller and J. Coleman.
